DJI Phantom Models Comparison
DJI is one of the popular and well-known manufacturers of the quadcopter in the drone market. This is mainly because of their incredibly advanced and popular Dji Phantom “ready-to-fly” (RTF) version released in 2012.
Since that, DJI Innovations has released DJI Phantom 2 along with other various models depending on the DJI Phantom 2 product platform.
The Dji company has literally changed the industry of quadcopters and personal drones to change the playing field available to buyers. The Phantom line of models comes with various feature and technology for the money, and compete with far more “professional” and expensive grade quadcopters.
At last, high-popular quadcopters are available at an affordable price for anyone. It can be confusing especially if you are a new RC pilot to understand the main differences between different DJI Phantom models.
We have created this DJI Phantom Model Comparison Chart Guide to help you to decide the best Phantom model for you and understand the differences between DJI products.

Great guide. You have some pretty good info here all in one spot, you don’t have to search all over the web and compare stuff. I especially like the division in sections. Although I am more of a Dj Phantom fan 🙂
hi,please where can I get a complete homebuilt quadcopter guide
Follow this link to learn how to build your own DIY quadcopter yet this can take much time and effort – https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+build+diy+quadcopter
Hi, man. thanks for this post, yet could you create a chart of every Radio Control Quadcopter? where can I select choices for drone and etc. this could be excellent!) thanks, friend.
It may be not possible to create a chart with all the RC quadcopters. Ultimately, the reason for the chart is to present only the top four to five models.
Do the Phantom 2 or Syma X5C have FPV capabilities?
The Syma X5C without first-person-view (FPV) settings to steer home with no remote image, losing this quadcopter in the sky may cause problems. The DJI Phantom 2 Vision Quadcopter has an integrated fpv camcorder.
Hi there,
I have a question for the UDI U818A.
It says that this particular quadcopter have video camera FPV (First Person View, kindly correct me if I am wrong).
I am new to this so I need a confirmation if this means I can remotely view what the U818A is recording? If yes may I ask how? If no, then what does Video Camera FPV really means?
Thanks for your time.
regards.
Yes UDI U818A Quadcopter has First Person View (FPV) support. There are two versions available which are Old Edition and New Version. Both models support FPV, but new version has enhanced FPV Support. If you prefer a FPV Setup, I recommend the upgraded version of the previous UDI U818A Quadcopter. Yes you can remotely see what this quadcopter is recording from the display’s screen on the transmitter. To understand more about what is FPV? How to use it? why is it useful? check this Wikipedia url: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First-person_view_%28radio_control%29
If you are interested to see the New Version UDI U818A Quadcopter on Amazon check this link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RGT0GVQ/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00RGT0GVQ&linkCode=as2&tag=secdooforhom-20&linkId=W6DXCMLZPFO66VVR
I hope this solves your doubt. If further help needed, feel free to post a comment and possibly you could be guided. Our aim is to help buyers like you to buy the Best Quadcopter on the market.
What quadcopter do you recommend for smooth, good quality real estate video?
I recommend you to look at our DJI Phantom model comparison chart. These are high-end, professional quadcopters that can be used for one or more useful purposes. Analyzing your scenario, real estate video need to be captured on a Best Quadcopter that is able to offer better range, stability (AKA Gimbals), quality and flight time. DJI line of quadcopters possess most of these characteristics.
As per as the models wise, I would advise to see the DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ V3.0 Quadcopter (latest version) or perhaps DJI Phantom 2 Vision Quadcopter (the old edition). Both are able to record high-definition, good quality, smooth real estate footage. However, make sure you comply with FAA laws in regards to use of drones for commercial purposes. Anyways, let us know if you need any further clarification over this question.
Why can I only see 4 comparisons, no matter which browser I use, and next button doesn’t work. Can’t you just put up a vertical scroll list?
This comparison chart section is divided into 2 sections.
1. First section is the comparison of top 4 DJI line of quadcopters
2. Second section is the top 4 quadcopters in no particular order
so a total of 8 models are recommended in this comparison chart for readers.
We are working on the next button and this will be achieved by adding more models to the list in future.
With the table plugin we’re using it would be not possible to put up a vertical scroll list, but we have already enabled horizontal scrolling. (this could help up to an extend). However, we may implement that on near future if multiple people request that feature.
Anyways, thanks for your suggestions.
So..what’s the best?
It depends on your expectations and there is no such thing as “Best”. Each model has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. However, we can classify the perfect one using this comparison chart. For example in Dji chart my choice for the best is “DJI Phantom 2 Vision Quadcopter”, but opinion may vary a bit. Make sure to go through the side-by-side comparison chart to find the perfect one for you.
Just an fyi, you can only see the first two categories of the chart above on the Galxy s4 phone. Also, some of the other content on this page doesn’t fit on the mobile phone as far as being responsive.. Just to let know know mate
I’m in the process of making a separate quadcopter comparison chart page especially for mobile phone users. It basically has the same contents as this page, but the layout is different. Hopefully, this might solve the problem of not being able to see the entire categories while on a mobile phone such as Galxy s4 phone or whatever.
Anyways, thanks for the heads up and will update the link once it is ready 🙂
The BestQuadcoptersReviews.com Update Notice,

In order to to help you out, we are introducing the “Quadcopters Mobile Comparison Chart” version. This chart is fully optimized to be compatible with mobile devices. You can navigate with the horizontal scroll bar. Simply, click the below link if you are browsing this chart page from any mobile device. Flight time would be a useful bit of info.
The flight duration information is mentioned in the comparison chart itself
Hey mate just so you know this page does not render well in phones, only shows 3 products.
The theme is responsive and compatible with all devices, but it might be the layout frame mistake. Anyways, from which phone did you checked this site? so I may check over the problem.
